Do cheep lessons really work out better value

Being and instructor myself I have had lots of learners from other driving instructors/schools who tell me their stories from of how they thought they were getting a great deal.... How wrong they were! When the learner finally chooses me they have spent a fortune doing relatively nothing and learning very little. Don’t get me wrong, in Preston there are LOTS of great driving instructors and schools but unfortunately like most trades/ professions there are cowboys out to get what they can. Don’t be fooled by offer like ‘5 hours for £25’ or ‘first 10 lessons £9 each’. The likelihood of you learning much or even starting the engine is very low as £10 an hour only just covers the cost when everything is taken into account! Would you run a business and make such a loss? Chris’ Top tips Ask around for friend recommendations – (its my number 1 supply of new learners and a friend wont recommend a bad instructor) Phone and speak to a few instructors (have a chat to the instructors, not a receptionist, you need to know you will get on with the instructor and that they have time for you, ask them a few questions and think about the answers they give you) If you aren’t happy with the instructor you have or don’t think your doing much ask your friends what they do and get a second opinion form one of their instructors.
