Great Food, Wines & Cask Ales, enough choice for the most fickle drinker. A brigade of 6 chef's that produce outstanding specials all in all about 50 meal items to choose from.
My Husband, myself and three Children went to the Hospital Inn for a bite to eat on the way home from a day out in Blackpool. The Pub was very busy but luckily they did find us a table. The tables are well spaced and the bar area is spacious and large. They have a basic menu but also have a variety of Specials Boards incorporating all manner of delicious sounding dishes. There is also quite an extensive Childrens menu. When ordering drinks you can open a "tab" meaning that everything can be paid for at the end of the meal. We found the Staff to be courteous and friendly and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Food is ordered at the Bar and a table number given. We only ordered main courses as we had a tired three year old with us but the meals arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was piping hot and very well presented. My steak was cooked just how I had asked for it and the same was said of Hubby's mixed Grill. The food was delicious and had that "home cooked" taste. When finished the plates were cleared quickly and a desert menu offered. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill as 5 drinks and 5 meals came to just short of £40.00. I will definitely be going again!
Popped by mid-September with the Misses. We sat outside in the sunshine eating podgy servings of ye'oldey traditional pie, veg and thoughs really fat, home made chips that give the anarexic sticks you get from MacD's a run for there money.
Open all day everyday according to the sign outside and reasonable prices too.
