  • 1 Will never again use Singers!

    I wish I had read the above reviews before placing my order for hitec ladies boots size 5, as I would have saved myself an awful lot of hassle and correspondence with the very ignorant Mr Theo Singer. I received a pair of boots which were the right size but the wrong colour late one Friday afternoon. Was about to phone Singers Monday morning when another pair of boots arrived - this time right colour, wrong size! Singers had no idea two pairs were sent. I was invoiced only for one pair, however being honest and trustworthy I informed the company immediately, however they couldn't supply the right size and colour due to being sold out and unable to restock from Hitec. The boots were required prior to Christmas, therefore I sourced the right size and colour elsewhere incurring a £14 extra charge due to higher goods price, and postage to ensure pre-Christmas delivery. Mr Singer point blankly refused to refund this excess despite the fact his company had let me down badly, stating that he would not be blackmailed. Furthermore the tone of his emails and threats to pursue me through the courts for 2 pairs of boots was simply quite outrageous. The saga continued when I requested my refund prior to return of the goods, which was by mutual agreement, however Mr Theo Singer instructed DHL to uplift the goods the day after allegedly processing my refund, before it had time to even register in my account, sending me 'proof' of this in an adhoc copy and pasted email! Customer Service is certainly non existent in this company, nor manners, nor common decency and honesty. He may well have money to burn by sending people orders they didn't place, however my hard-earned cash deserves better than this!

    Not impressed. No confirmation e-mail. Allowed me to order out of stock items and only advised when part order came, looking like it had been packed by a 5 year old. Miserable customer service, the guy who I suspect was the proprietor told me to "stop talking so he could get on with other things", promised to phone back and never did. Needless to say I will not deal with them again and would urge others to steer clear too.

    Using Singers was most unpleasant experience I have every had. We ordered a tent extension for our Vango tent in May and paid for fast delivery as we were going camping that week. The extension came but in the wrong colour. It took 3 weeks before any one even acknowledged that we need to rectify this. It seems that the final decisions in the company lie with Mr Theo Singer who is one of the rudest and unhelpful people I have ever known. If the owner of the company is so rude, it follows that the rest of his team must be just as obnoxious. He arranged a collection of the item but despite telling him that we were only in on a certain day he got the collection sorted for another day. We were just lucky that one of us was in. They then sent the wrong product and once again it took 3 attempts before Mr Singer deigned to talk to us. He claims that he arranged for 3 DHL deliveries but only one card was delivered - once again on a day I said we would be at work. He told us that we would have have this sent back at our own cost. I was eventually picked up and he then refused to send us the product we ordered but would refund us the money minus £10 FOR HIS TROUBLE. He was unable to provide proof that he had even arranged for collection. On the 19th of July he finally gave us a full refund - 2 months after we had ordered it. We did get the correct tent extension from another supplier which was the correct colour with next day delivery. I will never use Singer again because they truly do not believe in any kind of customer service.
