Remsol Launch New Recycling Service

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new recycling service for nominally empty glass Winchester bottles (amber and clear).Aimed principally at laboratory waste producers and waste transfer station operators, the new service will take care of empty reagent bottles ranging in size from 1,000ml to 4.5L in size, without the need for rinsing or cleaning at source. Provided that the former contents have been removed, residues of hazardous substances will not pose a problem. Aimed at helping businesses to avoid landfill and its associated escalating costs, the service is expected to "go live" in 4-6 weeks time with the waste being processed at our facility in Preston, Lancashire and will provide a welcome development to organisations that have historically struggled to recycle empty glass chemical containers using traditional reprocessing routes.We intend to collect whole glass Winchesters in 1100 litre wheelie bins, providing waste producers with a convenient method of interim storage and containment and without introducing additional packaging requirements.Processing capacity is limited and will be allocated on a first come basis.
